The whole decision, one tool
Everything a bid decision actually needs
Compare
Forty tabs, one table.
Every metric that moves a bid, hardship differential, COLA, schools, safety, internet speed, flight time home, sortable and color-coded. Green means good everywhere; no memorizing which direction each stat runs.

Weekends are a metric too.
Every post lists its real nonstop routes with typical round-trip fares, its R&R trips, and its flying time home, because getting to Petra on a Friday, or to a family emergency in Ohio, is part of the bid decision. This one is live, pick a post and see what a long weekend actually costs.

Grocery basket
Can you buy diapers there?
The Grocery Basket tracks availability first, because prices go stale, but you-can't-get-it doesn't. A standard basket, refreshed by people at post.
Real data, one place
One page instead of thirty tabs
Every post page pulls together 20+ official sources, refreshed on schedule, so research that used to eat a weekend takes minutes.
Private by design
Nobody sees your bid list. Nobody.
Bidding is career-sensitive. PostCompass is built so colleagues, CDOs, anyone, can never see what you're researching or where you're leaning.
Your lists are yours alone. No social features, no sharing by default, ever. There is no way for another user to see your list.
Reviews are anonymous by construction. They publish under a role descriptor, “FS officer, family of four”, never a name, never a profile.
No activity trails. Post pages show aggregate stats only. We never display who viewed, saved, or researched anything.
The data is free. The community is the membership.
Every official number is real and public for all 256 posts, with no account. A free account adds what Foreign Service families report from post, and lifts the 3-post limit on a comparison.
