- Large houses and duplexes in quiet neighborhoods near the school, with real yards, a rarity in the region. Housing quality is decent but systems are temperamental; generators and water tanks are standard equipment.

There are no legal restrictions on same-sex sexual relations or the organization of events in Tajikistan. Some parts of Tajik society are unaccepting of or generally hostile to gays and lesbians.
